What is The Children's Book Self-Publishing Blueprint?
An 8-module online course that takes you from manuscript to a published children's book on Amazon KDP. It covers your publishing roadmap, editing for children's books, storyboarding, finding and working with an illustrator, sizing and formatting for KDP (including cover design and a Canva template), ISBNs, metadata and keywords, uploading to KDP, ordering your proof copy and going live, and royalties, reports and your first 30 days of launch.

How much does it cost?
$495 at the current launch price (regularly $595). It's a one-time payment with lifetime access.
How does the course work?
Modules 1 and 2 are available right away. Modules 3 to 8 unlock weekly, so you can move through the process step by step.
How do I access my course?
After you enroll, you'll get an email with your login details. You can sign in anytime at courses.storypopcollective.com, or use the Student Login link at the top of this site.
Which publishing platform does it teach?
Amazon KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing), the world's largest self-publishing platform. You'll finish with your book live on Amazon.
Is it free to publish on Amazon KDP?
Yes, uploading and publishing on KDP is free, and Amazon offers a free ISBN. Your main costs are usually illustration, editing, proof copies, and marketing. For some authors, it may be worth buying their own ISBN instead of using Amazon's.
Can I use AI-generated illustrations?
KDP allows it, but you must disclose AI-generated content when you publish. The Children's Book Self-Publishing Blueprint covers KDP's disclosure requirements.
Who is behind StoryPop Collective?
Erika Romer, a Santa Barbara children's book publisher and co-founder of Seven Seas Press. She has 15 years of experience publishing children's books, including Creative Child Magazine award winners.
